Rev. Michelle Cockcroft spent most of her formative years in Greenville, SC. She graduated from The University of South Carolina Upstate in Biology and Political Science. She received a MA in Political Science from Northern Illinois University. She felt a call to ministry over an extended period of time. God changed her life situation so that she was able to attend The Divinity School at Duke University from which she graduated in May 2010. She was commissioned as a provisional elder at the 2010 SC Annual Conference. She is excited to be serving in her first appointment at Green Pond UMC and looks forward to ministry in this community. She is married to Chris who works in Simpsonville and they have one son, Joshua, who is in the 4th grade. Michelle enjoys reading, camping, and great conversation over coffee or tea and dessert!

After high school graduation in 2006, Justin Boazman enrolled at North Greenville University as an International Business major. Shortly into the semester he felt the strong call of God to music ministry. He changed his major to sacred music and after two years transferred to Erskine College. He is now a senior Church Music Major. Green Pond UMC is his first church position and he is very excited to be “getting my feet wet”. He strongly believes that music is an integral part of worship and we cannot worship without music… no matter the situation.
